Since 2005 Ben has been working on an estimated 250+ projects reaching from designing pins for the local rockband to overhauling the websites of Fortune 500 companies. This list of milestones is by no means comprehensive, just aimed to give the reader a useful idea of Ben's professional experience.

Nuvolo

Hired as one of two art directors on the project Ben has been part of Sapient's team of web specialists responsible for updating Bosch's central corporate website.

Working on-site in Cologne Ben designed pages in accordance with the Bosch webdesign style guide created by Sapient earlier, but also expanded the guide with a number of novel UI elements and created documentation for advanced content presentation guidelines for use throughout the website.

Ben also created a fully functional, responsive prototype in Webflow for several key page types for presentation as well as laying groundwork for Sapient's frontend development team.

Webflow Workshops

Since handpicked by Webflow as one of 25 official Webflow Experts in 2017 Ben has started to offer 2-3 day, on-site workshops for small to medium-sized design agencies who plan to add Webflow development to their list of services.

Ben gives teams of designers and developers with previous webdesign experience a comprehensive look at Webflow's capabilities as well as it's limitations and teaches techniques to make use of the platform to the fullest of it's efficiency.

Bosch

Lufthansa

Working on-site at Sapient Nitro's (now Sapient Razorfish) office in Cologne, Ben's task was to help developers convert the static Layout of the Lufthansa iOS application into a constraint-based solution, for developers to rebuild the app's frontend with Xcode's Auto Layout feature.

Ben created a responsive layout guide in Webflow authentically reflecting the intended appearance of the elements on any device the guide it's opened on and defined guidelines, exact font sizes, spacing and dimensions within the prototype, providing each individual element with useful comments and exact values for developers to use during their work

While on the project, Ben also tackled a few ad hoc tasks like updating the existing layout's navigation and designing, as well as including in the layout guide a new version of one of the app's key features.

E.ON

Working with Technium, Ben served as the graphic designer and subsequently developed a functional prototype for one of Technium's concepts for a new E.ON online service platform.

Hot Beaver

While being the vocalist of Budapest based grunge/metal band Hot Beaver, Ben (obviously) took control of the band's visual appearance designing everything from the logo, to CD sleeves, posters, merch, Facebook ads, even pumping out a fun music video edited together from the best scenes of Ed Wood's notorious Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Caret

Caret is an advanced phone book and voip app for iOS and Android. Working closely with the client, Ben designed Caret's basic CI and created UX and UI design for the Android as well as iOS versions of the application.

Ben also designed and developed Caret's website in Webflow for the launch of the Android app in early 2015.

UplinkIT

Kaiserslautern based company UplinkIT hired Ben to update their corporate identitiy including a sleek new logo, stationary and a complex responsive website.

Pay2Friends

Participating in the development of Deutsche Telekom's Pay2Friends application for Android, Ben created new views based on preexisting pages and also worked on refining, finishing up and redesigning a number of existing views within the app.

Telekom

Ben served as the lead designer at Deutsche Telekom's headquarters in Bonn/Germany at the "eGarage" department set up to explore, develop and document progressive eCommerce solutions to be shipped out to several European Telekom branches improving user experience and conversion in online sales.

As the lead designer in a team of UX and sales specialists, Ben produced and documented visual concepts for key eCommerce page types while actively participating in ideation sessions and holding presentations of design work to key stakeholders.

Horizon Music

Australian Booking Agency Horizon Music hired Ben to create a simple, tasteful website to reflect the agency's values of efficiency and simplicity and to introduce it's roster of highly original bands and solo artists.

Design Competitions

For about a year Ben occupied himself part-time competing on the designenlassen.de platform mostly entering webdesign competitions. With over 20 projects won Ben's profile shows an official success rate of 29%. Adjusting for projects only technically entered this number comes to about every second competition won - much to the frustration of the other designers. :)

HMS Security

Newly founded security company HMS Security hired Ben to design its corporate identity, including logo, stationary and a basic website.

Etele City Center

Working in collaboration with Studio IN-EX and motion designer Attila Lecza, Ben was hired as an art director for a promotional video for the planned Etele City Center Mall in Budapest.

Starting with the discussion of visual concepts, pacing and content within a large production team of different specialists the main challenge was to establish a visually attractive, informative and dynamic animation while meeting a deadline of 14 days for the production of the 4 minute animation.

Compact Disco Music Video

Working for the video production company Studio-X Ben created the visual concept for the music video of "Without You" by Compact Disco, Hungary's Eurovision contestant for 2012.

POM

Being the vocalist of infamous Hungarian HC/modern metal band Poison of Marvel naturally Ben took care of all design tasks from the band's logo to posters, ads and various merch items. Ben also designed the inlay and disc and created the album art for the physical release of the band's 2011 debut album.

Yellow CMS

Ben created and oversaw the development of his company's own, modular content management system YellowCMS.

Goal of the project was to give the company's clients an intuitive solution with a friendly face to edit the content of their websites developed at Yellowfox.

Adjustable restrictions and smart input-cleaning solutions made for safe use of the application preventing clients from accidentally uploading unwanted code, improperly sized images, text with excessive length or any other thing that could accidentally "break" their sites.

Yellowfox

In early 2010 Ben founded his own startup agency based in downtown Budapest.

At it's peak Yellowfox employed 5 people (2 designers, 2 developers and a designer in training) and produced everything from corporate websites to eCommerce solutions, branding and print for a solid client base of about 10 small to medium-sized companies and design agencies before downsizing and finally closing it's doors in late 2011.

While mostly dealing with project management, Ben designed and art directed several of the companies major projects.

Comedy Central

Working for Arcus Interactive, Ben served as an art director on the production of the Hungarian website of Comedy Central when CC first entered the Hungarian market in 2010.

Regularly touching base and holding design presentations to the peers at MTV Networks Hungary Ben produced the overall design direction and a large number of subpages based on wireframes provided by Arcus Interactive, subsequently supervising the design of all remaining subpages by the design team at Cymetriq Studio.

Meyer&Levinson

Working together with Meyer&Levinson for several years Ben designed the financial consulting company's CI and web presence when it was founded in 2009 and developed, refined and overhauled it several times in the years to come.

After it's release in 2009 Meyer&Levinson's initial website - fully realized in animated Flash goodness - has been featured in a number of international webdesign galleries and received several "site of the day" as well as "site of the month" rewards and nominations.

Work also included many print projects such as the design of a custom, polypropylene folder an business cards, stationary, billboards as well as newspaper and online ads.

AEGONdirekt

Hired by Arcus Interactive Ben designed the website of AEGONdirekt, trough which Aegon's Hungarian branch started offering insurances online in 2009.

Regularly touching base with the project managment and development team at Arcus Interactive and  stakeholders at AEGONdirekt Ben designed the overall appearance of the website and subsequently over 20 subpage types from product lists to forums to the online sales process.

After launch the website received the Hungarian "eCommerce Website of the Year" award in 2009.

Cymetriq Studio

Cymetriq is a small, quality oriented agency in Budapest awarded with the Hungarian "Golden Thumbtack" Award for Design Agency of the Year 2017.

Having helped founding the company in 2006 Ben returned to become the company's art director between 2009 to 2011.

Ben's work included various design tasks and art direction of webdesign projects overseeing the work of junior designers and developers.

Ben also liaised with the companies clientele and managed projects independently, working closely with clients on a daily basis.

AXA Hungary

Active Vision tasked Ben with redesigning AXA Hungary's website based on the companies international webdesign style guide and content structure provided by the agency.

EYCA

Hungarian agency Proud Productions mostly being a video production company hired Ben to help them out designing a complex brochure for their client EYCA (European Youth Card Association).

Aim of the project was to deliver an eye-catching design employing interesting printing techniques with budget limitations rather being of secondary importance.

Ben created 21x21 cm, 26 page brochure with a gloss finished cover on the outside and key graphic elements highlighted by UV gloss on the inside. The brochure was designed to be wrapped in an embossed, die-cut paper sleeve sealed by a tampon printed silicone band. The concept was to have the reader connect with the material on a visceral level before even starting to read it, fiddle with opening the package fairly massive for a brochure, soaking up the brochures vibe as feeling their way trough several layers of wildly differently textured surfaces in the process.

Green-Hope

As the art director at IBM certified, Budapest based software development company Green-Hope Consulting Ben was responsible for the CI and branding of the company and it's complex product line of ERP and accounting software (Notes and Domino family, back then known as Lotus).

Ben was designed everything from product and company websites, to logos, brochures and ads, to the software-line's UI but also managed design services provided by the company working closely with it's clients and partners.

Carnation

Ben has been working at Carnation, back then one of Hungary's biggest design agencies (meanwhile acquired by Possible) as a graphic designer mainly on the design of websites but also did extensive 3D modelling for a number of projects like Flash games and interactive 3D Flash websites.

A&D Juliette

Ben's first job as a graphic designer at a small design agency in Budapest consisted mainly of designing print for the Budapest gastronomic sector. Flyers, brochures, restaurant menus, cocktail cards and newspaper ads helped Ben collect valuable experience with print design and production.
